30.12.082 millionth visitor of Entertainment center “Duman”!
JSC Entertainment center “Duman” according to daily reports 30 December, 2008 at the afternoon welcomed its 2 millionth visitor.
Today the capital of our country Astana demonstrated with a proud the bright and impressive growth and development of Independent Republic of Kazakhstan. This city arose before contemporary yeas. It amazes the whole world. Currently Astana celebrated its first jubilee. It became the holiday for the all nations of Kazakhstan.
Entertainment center “Duman” is pleased to realize that it’s the part of the common cause and brings its immense contribution to the process of country evolution. “Duman”- is the drop of ocean among the steppe – is outstanding sightseeing of the capital and pride of kazakhstany people. Guests come here all over the country and the world.
The staff of the complex is happy that the last days of the passing jubilee year for the capital marked by one more merry event- meeting of 2 millionth visitor! Fortune smiled citizen of Astana Altyn Moldasheva and her two grandchildren, they became the owners of 2 millionth entrance ticket to EC “Duman”. The guests received enthusiastic welcome of the whole collective of the center. They were generously presented by flower, soft toys and worth gifts such as household karaoke and digital photo camera. Certainly, there was the special prize- certificate of Entertainment center “Duman” allowed to its holder visit the complex free during one year. Also Altyn Moldasheva was given the cake made by perfect confectioners of the complex. This event to 2 millionth visitor became the miracle on the eve of New Year.
Visitors in this quantity are the great achievement and deserved reward of work for the staff of the center.
16.12.08Independence Day of Republic of Kazakhstan!
Independence day of our state is the main holiday for all multinational population of republic. This national celebration is the result of united efforts of Kazakhstan people and their desire to receive sovereignty.
According to tradition there are organized concerts, performances and presented government awards to different cultural, sport, political, art and other outstanding figures.
In Entertainment center “Duman” holiday atmosphere reigned 15, 16, 17 December. Festive activities were made for kids as well as for their parents and grand - parents.
Big concert program, very surely, was liked by music lovers of different genres. Visitors were presented unique opportunity to see performance with participation of instrumentalists, they charmed audience with ability to play Kazakh national instruments; amazing dance groups and vocalists, they made people dance.
In holidays the complex was visited by 6 456 people.
 
10.12.08The first festival of animated cartoon films “Alive planet”
made by disabled children
Public Association “Creative Center of Art-therapy “Ocean-Art” carried out charity project “Cartoons by own hands” according to program “Treatment by animation methods”. Drawings of little disabled painters were the ground of cartoons. Their pictures depicted emotional experience of children felt during therapy session. Cartoons produced teach a child to find the power of faith in his recovery out of creative work, to see beauty and tenderness of vivid colours that painted his inner world. Those cartoons are able to change them into better and help a kid to find resources inside to fight for his health.
The main idea of this project is to activate new unknown feelings and emotions of a child. The value of this activity is that it turns to be a treatment but has more powerful signal promoted to act and set positive emotional of inward kid state.
There were invited more than 100 disabled children to the festival. Celebration began with presentation of 12 cartoons, their authors received gifts and letters of gratify. Everyone of the honorary guests, among of whose is General director of JSC “Entertainment center “Duman” Patima Turalievna Matzhanova, was given the great possibility to present the prize to a kid for the best cartoon in appropriate nominations.
After official part of the evening, organizers of festival “Ocean-Art” offered to the children and their parents to visit “Duman”. There were carried out splendid concert program. Then staff of the center recommended friends to come to café “Tornado”, there were sweeties for children.
 
25.10.08Picture contest “Duman and I”
21 March, 2008 Entertainment center “Duman” announced about conducting republic contest “Duman and I” in honour of its 5th Birthday. Children were offered to draw picture with entertainment objects and sightseeing of the complex and inhabitants of Oceanarium; think out names for three turtles of Oceanarium. Age of participants was not limited. Pictures should be sent to Duman’s address with note of author not later than 15 May, 2008.
Long-waited day of contest results announcement arranged at 27 October, 2008. Frankly, it was hard work for jury to mark out the best pictures. All pictures without exception were creative masterpieces and brought with illustration the dreams of author. It’s a pleasure that our country has so many talented children. Center administration expressed its thanks to all participants of the contest, they were about 500.
Jury chose the winner and prize-winner of the contest according to the following criteria: correspondence to the theme, originality of design, work technique, colour spectrum. Drawings were estimated on 10 balls scale.
Jury members are : chairman- General director of JSC “Entertainment center “Duman” Patima Turalievna Matzhanova; Sembegaly Abzalbekovich Smagulov- chairman of Painter Union of Astana city- was invited as honorary chairman of the contest to evaluate the pictures more detailed and professionally; Dariya Makhat- pupil of 3 form of “Pochemuchka” school of Astana city- was invited to express objectivity from child point of view; the rest 8 members of jury - deputies General director of the center and heads of different departments of the complex- according to speciality of their work have the skills of working in separate aspects of art.

Day of Republic of Kazakhstan is bright and significant day for all citizens of our country. To respect precepts of forefathers, to honour traditions of our nation and to love the state where you have been born and is living – is the most important values of society.
Last years there was noted a pleasant tendency of increasing the variation of entertainment programs organized in holidays.
Entertainment center “Duman” draws the proper attention to every holiday. It becomes the peculiar center of creative work of talent performers, they demonstrate to the visitors the reach resources of folklore and dance masters on Kazakh land. Singers, dance groups and musicians, representing the culture of people living in our state, inspired the hearts of present guests.
Kids had their own entertainment program with participation of joyful clowns. Sonorous laugh of little fidgets was spread over the whole center.
Certainly, 25, 26, 27 October guests were nicely glad by offered discounts for the tickets to underwater kingdom of Oceanarium. The cost of child ticket was 200 tenge, adult- 350 tenge. Totally the complex was visited at holidays by 11 020 people.
   
01.01.08Day of greybeards!
One of the kind traditions of Entertainment center “Duman” is celebration of the Day of greybeards. Staff of the complex has the special careful attitude to the elder people.
1 October, at sunny and warm day “Duman” welcomed aged people visited the center.
The holiday began with the concert of instrumental music “Music of past years”, where performers demonstrated their master ability to play national instruments, there were beloved melodies and songs.
Meeting “On the wave of our memory” was particularly liked by grandmothers and grandfathers. Greybeards full of energy and enthusiasm sang the songs and chastooshka, danced and read poetries, giving pleasure to themselves and auditory.
Holiday continued… Organizers made different competitions and quizzes, participants of which received not only positive emotions but gifts.
1 October traditionally pensioners and accompanied them people entered to the center free, and ticket for Oceanarium cost only 100 tenge. Pensioners visited Oceanarium were invited to proceed pastime with tea drinking in café “Tornado”.
 
20.09.08 Official language is my language!
Annual festival of language of Kazakhstan nationals was held 22 August up to 22 September. Within its context there were organized the contests, quizzes, round table discussions and seminars on the theme of language, folklore, folk wisdom, traditions of Kazakh and other nationals in every public offices, libraries and education institutions. Festival demonstrated the ability of people lived in Kazakhstan to speak on official language and love and respect to Kazakh philology.
Entertainment center “Duman” during the whole time of existence has been taking an active part in capital activities. 20 September, on Saturday there was organized the celebration of Day of the language of Kazakhstan nationals under the motto “Official language is my language” in the complex.
Fascinating program firstly began with kids, they were welcomed by clowns. Their joyful and funny contests and jokes were carried out only on official language. It’s a pleasure that even the smallest citizens and guests of Astana could perfectly speak or know the nuts and bolts of Kazakh language.
Teenagers were offered the cognitive quizzes and contests, the winners of which were presented the gifts.
The culmination of the evening became the concert program with participation of local singers, instrumentalists, and dance groups. They inspired the auditory by bright performance. The concert was mingled by interesting games with guests, the winners of which were presented the gifts of current importance, they are: dictionaries of synonyms, antonyms and orthography of Kazakh language and stories, novels of famous Kazakh authors.
Festival of Kazakh language turned to be kind, brought the great amount of positive feelings and leaved pleasant memory in visitors’ mind.
 
30.08.08Day of Constitution of Republic of Kazakhstan!
Day of Constitution of Republic of Kazakhstan is public holiday of our country. Constitution protects and guarantees the rights and freedom to all nationals of republic.
This merry and historically important day compatriots and guests of Kazakhstan would like to have elated mood, rest and be involved in holiday.
Certainly, ideal place of pastime is Entertainment center “Duman”. There is benevolent and comfort atmosphere even in weekdays. And holidays in the complex become the ocean of positive feelings for visitors.
30 August, the celebration of the holiday began in dome area of “Duman” with performance of local vocal and dance groups. Creative people, as we usually called them, to great surprise quickly inspired the auditory with energy. Their amusing songs and dance made everyone dance sometimes demonstrating movements that professional dancers could not imagine. Romantic compositions of artist repertoire casted spirit of forthcoming charming season of golden autumn. Besides, entertainment center is favourite place of meeting of youth as well as elder generation in spite of season and weather. “Duman” conquered the hearts of visitors by means of service and entertainment of international level.
It should be noted that staff of the complex respects the guests of all ages. Babies are not the exception. The best clowns of the capital are invited especially for them, clowns divert and present the gifts.
But surprises of “Duman” administration for citizens and guests of Astana were not finished. Visitors were pleasantly astonished by low prices of the tickets to the wonderful underwater world of Oceanarium. Ticket for adult cost 500 tenge, for child- 200 tenge. There were 3 195 men in “Duman”, 30 August.
11.07.08Day of journalism!
Entertainment center “Duman” during time of work has got partners, supporters and friends. Center staff always remembers professional holidays and important events in friends’ life. One of those festive occasions is Day of journalism. Fortunately, the complex has many friends wield a skilful pen. They are sincere creative people, lords of the words.
Annually “Duman” invites the representatives of mass media to the center to congratulate them. Traditionally, Entertainment center “Duman” presents its own premium at Dome are:
- premium at the rate 100 000 tenge was presented to Smagul Rahymbek, writer- journalist for his adherence to the theme, broad propaganda of JSC “Entertainment center “Duman” activity and long-term collaboration;
- premium at the rate 100 000 tenge was presented to Elmira Rafhat, journalist of republic newspaper “Republic.kz” for permanent and non-typical creative revelation of Entertainment center “Duman” uniqueness;
- premium at the rate 50 000 tenge was presented to Nurlan Abildin, journalist of TV company “Habar” for diversified, optimistic and eccentric coverage of Entertainment center “Duman” activity;
- premium at the rate 50 000 tenge was presented to Aizhan Kulshar, journalist of TV company “Habar” for diversified, optimistic and eccentric coverage of Entertainment center “Duman” activity;
- premium at the rate 50 000 tenge was presented to Irina Perminova, author of newspaper “Restaurants of Astana” for constant informational support and creative method of cooperation;
- premium at the rate 40 000 tenge was presented to Kenzhe Karibayeva, journalist of TV company “Era- TV” for efficiency and benevolence interpretation of Entertainment center “Duman” activity;
- premium at the rate 40 000 tenge was presented to Anel Tanatarkyzy, journalist of TV company “Era- TV” for efficiency and benevolence interpretation of Entertainment center “Duman” activity;
- premium at the rate 30 000 tenge was presented to Olga Zcoy, journalist of TV company “KTK” for objective attitude to the Entertainment center “Duman” activity;
- premium at the rate 30 000 tenge was presented to Elmira Kasymova, journalist of newspaper “Evening Astana” for topical and complete plots about Entertainment center “Duman”.
Administration of the complex also presented letters of gratify to the followings:
- republic newspaper “Egemen Kazakhstan” for long-term, effective cooperation, creative methods and mutual understanding in coverage of Entertainment center “Duman” activity;
- JSC “TV company “Era- TV” for active cooperation, responsible attitude toward the business and positive way of coverage of Entertainment center “Duman” activity.
Then the holiday for guests was prolonged by the concert program with participation of instrumental ensembles and smorgasbord.
Journalists further were invited to see new show of Oceanarium – “Mermaid”, which is the realization of child dream, and to visit modernized 5D motion-theater where they had the possibility to become the heroes of wonderful bright fantastic worlds.
   
06.07.08Birthday of Astana!
The first jubilee of our capital Astana became the holiday for all Kazakhstan people. Today we have the possibility to demonstrate proudly the bright and impressive capital of Independent Republic of Kazakhstan. Every city lives with its own life and 10 years is not long period, but our experience proves that the short time can be used very productively. The results are wonderful and magnificent buildings and constructions on the street of our city. However, the aim of government’s consolidation is creating comfort for people. People are the main treasure!
During the week attention of the whole state and world was concentrated on the great celebration of Jubilee. Traditionally at birthday it is used to receive gifts. The gifts were different and all of them were pleasant. They are monuments, memorials, parks, gardens, songs, poems and warm words and wishes of people.
It is a pleasure to observe all holiday activities, which were organized in the culture centers of Astana. Surely to be the part of them is more interesting.
July 4-5 there was carried out the wedding ceremony in Entertainment center “Duman”. The total amount of pairs was about 140 liked to register the unit of two hearts.
Wedding is the sensitive and magic event. The memory of wedding is saved for whole life. That is why this day should contain especially many merry moments.
Just married in “Duman” were very glad to have this unusual form of registration. For a moment they were brought to the fairy-tail, which will be the fine page in their family photo album.
   
All holidays were held concert programs with participation of local singers for the guests of entertainment center. They showed the power of music influence to the atmosphere. The favourite visitors of the complex are babies, they had a fun with clowns and their competitions.
Without shadow of a doubt, everyone was nicely surprised by discount for ticket to the Oceanarium and 5d motion-theater.
-ticket to Oceanarium for adults was 450 tenge and children-150 tenge;
-ticket to 5D motion theater for adults was 300 tenge and children-100 tenge.
July 6 at the day of 10th anniversary of Astana the complex was visited by 12088 adults and 2688 children. Total visitors of “Duman” during the holidays was 32 545 including 5774 children, except the people had the right of free visit and delegations-the guests of the capital.
Attention! Administration of EC “Duman” presented the gift to all citizens and guests of the capital. It is the modernization of 3D motion – theater to the 5 D. The motion-theater currently has the following effects: wind, smoke, fog, rain, lightning and explosion. Now visitors of the complex can really become the participants of the plot and feel the situations of the film heroes. It should be noted that the staff of the center made this reconstruction by their own hands, it is one more time underlines people’s devotion to lovely work.
01.07.08Master – class of graphic!
July 1, there was held the unique master – class of graphic in Entertainment center “Duman” for orphan’s and disabled children. That event is dated for celebrating 10th anniversary of capital. American artist Jack Stuppin was specially invited for carrying out that unusual lesson.
Charitable program was organized by fund “Center of children social adaptation” with culture department of USA embassy under the partnership of EC “Duman”, fund “Community of disabled children” and department of internal policy of Astana city.

Annually during 5 years Entertainment center “Duman” at June 22 celebrates the Day of elder generation. The practice of this year shows this holliday comes to be loved by other organizations. Staff of the complex is pleased to be the model in providing attention to seniors. “Duman” became the place of meeting for elder generation.
Visiting of the center always keeps in memories of greybeards fine impression. “Duman” is glad to extend warm welcome for them at any day of a week. Officials of Entertainment center realize the importance of presenting joy and perfect mood as well as appreciation the feelings of respectful people with strong spirit and sensitive soul.
Traditionally that day grannies and grandpas could visit the center for free, and buy the tickets to Oceanarium for the most minimal price. Moreover, there was organized the concert program with participation of local vocal and dance groups, the variety of their songs made dance old and young audience. That merry day will be memorized not only due to its rich entertainment, but its nice atmosphere of communication with friends during cup of tea in comfortable café Tornado.
Organizers are ready to express their sincere thanks for many times and bow down before people of elder generation for their great contribution to our future.
   
01.06.08International Children’s day!
June 1 is one of the oldest and favourite International holidays. At the first day of summer adults and children in high spirit liked the idea of pastime together and receive maximum positive emotions.
On the eve of nice time of summer school holidays the center of rest and leisure “Duman”, priority activity course of which is entertainment for children, made special holiday on the Fairy Glade at the central dome area.
The show began with performance of local dance groups and singers. They one more time demonstrated their talents. Clowns liked by kids amused visitors by means of jokes and contests, some of them we would like to mention.
Everyone loves their mums, but how much poems the babies know about them guests had the possibility to hear in the contest “Mother’s happiness”. It made children recall and tell as much as possible poems about lovely man.
There is no doubt that this holiday is a family day, as a result family contest “We are together”. Here families competed in cunning and showed the skills to skip and treat the ball, their clumsy and blundering movements turn their faces into smile and support their desire to win.
Contest “fight of Gladiators” helped to recognize between present people the bravest and the strongest ones. All participants of the contests got the prices of Entertainment center “Duman”.
Moreover “Duman” at that merry day set the age criteria up to 16 years, and all kids could visit center on obtainable prices: entrance- 50 tenge, tickets to Oceanarium-250 tenge, 3D motion-theater- 150 tenge.
 
09.05.08Day of Victory!
“Neither one, nor events are forgotten”
The very first day of working stuff of Entertainment center “Duman” at the head of General director Matzhanova Patima Turalievna developed the course of social mission of the company oriented particularly on socially vulnerable groups of population – children and older generation. Company has been adhering this policy during 5 years. The success was achieved with the help of desire to present joy, to help, to attend.
At the day of celebrating 63rd anniversary of Great Victory Entertainment center “Duman” welcomed guests- people won for us and our children the right to live at peace. Celebration began with theatrical performance of dance groups and local artists, they sang the warm-hearted songs of wartime.
Traditionally, that day pensioners had the possibility to visit “Duman” free and Oceanarium for symbolic price.
During the holiday of courage and heroism there was organized tea-drinking for greybeards in café “Tornado”. The complex turned to be for adults the place of culture pastime, meetings and communication with friends.
Clowns organized funny contests, riddles, game for kids, all participants were received gifts.
The best reward for work and effort of organizers was smiles of pleased visitors.

Entertainment center “Duman” is 5 years old!
May six, Entertainment center “Duman” celebrated its birth day. Five years ago just at that day there was solemn ceremony of its opening.
This great day stuff of “Duman” offered to guests creative work of capital singers and musicians, whose art raised spirits and mood of auditory.
Rhythmic melodies made people of different ages dancing. Babies were entertained by clowns by contests and jokes; moreover, they gave the gifts to kids on behalf of entertainment center. Adults and children got merry feelings, vivid recollections and moments of happiness….
Everyone come to share pleasure of jubilee received balloons. Balloons symbolizing light and ease turn the interior of facility into magic fairy-tale.
All visitors that day had the possibility to visit center and Oceanarium for free. According to official calculation “Duman” was received more than 19 (nineteen) thousands people.
Star rain of salute at the end of the party made that event really unforgettable.
Administration of the complex did everything in its power for creating festive atmosphere. The holiday succeeded. Organizers presented the festival of their dream.

Zhas Kanat!
“Zhas Kanat”- republic song contest started in Astana. It presented one more time young talents of the country. Fourteen manifold gifts performers contended for right to receive the status of laureate and become the holder of main awards – “golden”, “silver” and “bronze” wings.
The most stirring events – casting of lots- traditionally carried under the dome of Entertainment center “Duman”, which every year comes out to be the sponsor of favourite contest. Organizers tried to make the action unforgettable. This year casting of lots was marine-themed. Participants chose balloons in the form of sea horses, stars, fish with their lucky numbers. Later balloons were set free to the air. Festive mood of persons was supported by visit of wonderful world of Oceanarium and exciting plot of the film in 3D motion-theater. Leaving “Duman” everyone got the gift to keep in mind the meeting.
During three days of song competition administration of Entertainment center followed the performance of participants. At the final, General director of Entertainment center “Duman”, JSC Matzhanova Patima Turalievna rewarded on behalf of staff special prize of Entertainment center “Duman” - premium at the rate of 150 000 (one hundred forty thousands) tenge to the performer from Uralsk city, Dosaev Zhanbolat by name. He was the favorite of the first day of the contest. He sang the song about Aral on the second day. Jury was strict with him- song didn’t show his vocal ability. Singing the Kazakh lyric song on the third day, he demonstrated marvelous quality of his unusual vocal ability. Unfortunately, he could not reach his main rivals. Choosing patriotic song about native Kazakh land, its nature, ecological theme concordant with life of “Duman” staff, sophisticated manner of presenting the song he deserved respect and love of spectators and strong support of sponsor- Entertainment center “Duman”.

Nauryz meiramy!
Came from the antiquity Nauryz meiramy today became lovely holiday of spring. Nauryz always embodies revival, renovation and prosperity. At that day people usually speak about good and kind things, forgive each other, and pay a visit.
According to existing tradition entertainment center “Duman” at holidays 22, 23 and 24th of March presented to guests and residents of capital 30% reduction on Oceanarium and 3D motion-theater tickets and created holiday atmosphere and presented the gifts.
Visitors of the center could enjoy the concert program, music compositions which were liked by old and young people.
Interested to try their power and deftness had the possibility to participate in sport contest “Kazaksha kures”. At the beginning of the contest pupils of wrestler school showed their skills in demonstration performance. Then everyone who had the desire to compete could take part there. Winners were awarded by valuable gifts.
Organizers paid special attention to kids. They had a real fun in sport games and competitions such as “Wide circle”, “I’m champion”, “Joyful starts” with participation of amusing clowns who gave small presents.
Gifts were presented at these days not only to people taking an active part in contests, but to others who purchased the goods in items of the “Duman” (shops, cafeteria, play ground “Bobekzhai”). For this purposes they should got the cheque proving their purchase and change the cheque in special place to coupon. Those coupons later used for gifts selection.
At holidays “Duman” was visited by 13 353 people.

International woman’s day!
8th of March is International woman’s day! At that day the best half of our human beings receives the gifts and congratulations. Their cavaliers stand in queue to the best flower shops and try to make surprises that bring joy and amazement. There are smell of perfume and flower in the air.
Capital entertainment center “Duman” at the nice day of 8th of March presented to dear women contest game program, perfect mood and many smiles.
“The most charming and attractive” is the activity for all people like the idea of participating. The term is the following: to have the partner. But if haven’t HIM with you, you could chose him among the audience, the jury were chosen from the visitors too. Eight most courageous couples were found easily. Men should sew for their partners wonderful dress of Cinderella without thread and needle. All presented dresses were high valued by visitors as well as by jury. Representatives of girls demonstrated their skills in contest of hair-do “I’m a hairdresser”. They constructed on the heads of their men hair-dress using different colourful bands.
At the interval between tasks of participants, spectators observed performance of capital music stars.
According to contest results absolutely all people got the energy supply and deserved awards such as romantic dinner on two persons at the bar-club “Lagoon”, t-shirts, umbrellas and invitation on two persons to Oceanarium.
Music compositions, energetic dance, laugh and common fun created the aura of spring light. All women at holidays 8,9,10 of March were given reduction of 30% for Ocenarium tickets.
Kids were not forgotten. Children laughed under the jokes and play of kind clowns and took an active part of in contests such as “Joyful starts”, “Wide circle”, “I’m a champion”.
At holidays 8,9,10 of March entertainment center was visited by 6 004 people.

New Year!
Winter is magic season. The main event of winter period without shadow of a doubt is celebration of the most favourite and long-awaited “New Year's Eve!”. At holidays people with particular kindness try to present surprises and gifts.
And Entertainment Center “Duman” had made up its mind not to let the celebration pass its doors, it traditionally would like to amaze and make happy their visitors. On the eve of New Year and after its beginning in days of pupils holidays there were merry and boisterous atmosphere in the center. “Duman” was prepared to welcome the most versed guests. It was well decorated outside and inside. Attribute of meeting New Year is fir tree, it unintentionally absorbed everybody attention by splendour decoration.
Many children taking part in party for long will surely remember the dance and songs near that green beauty. Along with party for children of capital, there were organized annual charitable parties for disabled children.
At the beginning of New Year pupils had winter vocation. The ideal place of pastime is Entertainment Center “Duman”. There created comfortable conditions for leisure. Traditionally at those days there were 30% up to 50 % discount for tickets of Oceanarium and 3D motion-theater. And entertainment programs such as “Hurrah! Holidays!”, “Joyful starts”, “Wide circle”, “Do not gape around! Manage to go with us!”, “I’m chempion” were full of fascinating competitions and fun, there pupils competed not only in intellectual skills but in physical too. Also babies were presented fairy-tale “New Year adventure” , they had the possibility to share the emotions with heroes and take an active part helping them to find solutions from difficult situations.
On the eve of New Year from 21 up to 31 of December, 2007 Entertainment Center “Duman” was visited by 11 319 men. At the period of holidays from 2 up to 10 of January, 2008 the quantity of guests reached 16 563.
