20th of April
Two weeks before official opening of Entertainment Centre «Duman», the first sea inhabitants arrived to Oceanarium. Charter flight brought 2210 different kinds if fishes to Astana.
6th of May
At that day took place the grand opening of Entertainment Centre «Duman». Present on the solemn ceremony President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has noted that the main point of interest of «Duman» is Oceanarium-that is the first on territory of Commonwealth of Independent States. There are collected more than two thousands of different ocean fishes. They are kept in aquariums of different magnitude, the total volume of which is more than 3, 5 million liters of water. Oceanarium required 120 ton of salt for preparing the sea water in a year.
«Under the condition of long and cold winter inherent to our country, any family can arrive here to have a rest and visit another world. I had dreamed long ago about it and realized that idea», - said N.Nazarbayev.
29th of May
Entertainment Centre «Duman» organized the meeting with managers of tourist companies. Guests were presented detailed excursion around Oceanarium and they were offered to visit 3D-motion-theatre.
30th of May
Petropavlovsk’s inhabitant Askar Antayev became the owner of 25-thousandth entrance ticket to the Entertainment Centre «Duman». This ticket became lucky not only for the visitor but also to the Centre. Officials of «Duman» suppose that the fact of such amount of visitors who came less than for two weeks can be considered the record in a way.
Significant visitor was welcomed by whole collective. He was generously presented souvenirs; also he had the personal excursion around Oceanarium.
22nd of June
Entertainment Centre «Duman» had the holiday «Day of elder generation». At that day honored guests were veterans of World War II. They had the festive dinner and concert that was organized especially for them with participation of Kazakh music stars. Remarkable was one more present, for all visitors of that day entertainment center made 50% reduction for visiting Oceanarium.
4th of July
At that day was the ceremony of reward with encourages prizes meant for the journalists – authors of the best material about activities of Entertainment Centre «Duman», administration of which has valued infotainment of Mass media. After presenting the prizes there was the evening party with participation of dancing groups.
10th of August
At that day people celebrate professional day of the Builders. Entertainment Centre «Duman» made his contribution to the celebration by inviting managers and officials of some building organizations of Astana and giving them 50% reduction for all kinds of service.
19th of September
Entertainment Centre «Duman» staged the exhibition of three young artists. Laureate of the first premium «Shabyt-2002» Dinara Nuger, the member of the artists’ union of Republic of Kazakhstan Aschat Ahmediarov and painter of battle scenes Abai Chunchalinov presented their works to the visitors.
13th of November
At the close of current year EC «Duman» welcomed its 200-thousadth visitor. He was military person, colonel Petr Shegolkov by name. Officials of Entertainment Centre «Duman» congratulated visitor and presented him memorable souvenirs.
