Social rehabilitation of disabled children.
Oceanarium of Entertainment center “Duman” has the program of social rehabilitation of disabled children. There are two organizations – Children creative center Public Union “Center of Social Rehabilitation of Children” (Center SRC) and Public Union “Creative center of art-therapy “Ocean-art”- carried out the program. Currently Oceanarium of “Duman” is the single in the world where is used its magnificent aura for treating the children with different problems of health. People visited Oceanarium unintentionally help children to be integrated in natural conditions.
2003, for the first time in Kazakhstan was carried out the program “Development of art-therapy in Kazakhstan” with support of British Council, there were trained the art- therapeutists during 4 years in our country. Britain is one of the countries-pioneer in this field. As the result of this program, the center of art-therapy was established in Astana city.
Art-therapy is modern school in psychotherapy, informational medicine and bioenergetics healing, it is used the creative process as the main therapeutic agent. The patient and the results of his activity: pictures, poems, music and etc are in the creative process.
Art-therapy gives the opportunity to: develop the spontaneity; study his life experience at the safe therapeutic space; solve psychological problems without dragging them out to the perception level and without presenting them to the theraupeutist; communicate, express his feelings and thoughts using unusual graphic points.
Oceanarium makes possible to set required therapeutic space, the atmosphere where the child transforms his emotions into appropriate and stable behavior.
Charity upon old men.
Entertainment center “Duman” has good tradition to celebrate the following holidays:
Day of Victory. Annually, at May 9 staff of the complex greets the veterans of the Second World War. Traditionally, there is organized the special concert program with participation of dance groups and artists, singing the lovely songs of war period. To continue the holiday, veterans and pensioners are invited to have tea with sweeties. Then they offered to see the magnificent world of Oceanarium.
Day of elder generation. Every year at 22 of June the Entertainment Center “Duman” celebrated the Day of older generation to respect the memory of difficult war years and people whose childhood and youth fold on that severe time. This initiative belongs to the direction of Entertainment Center “Duman”. At that day the collective of “Duman” bows low and expresses its appreciation to people who did everything in their power for today’s Peace in the world. The holiday atmosphere of this particular day helps to create the concert program with local singers and dance groups, they make dance old and young alike. That day is kept in mind of grandfathers and grandmothers first and foremost due to nice communication with friends over a cup of tea in comfortable environment.
This holiday, as the practice shows, celebrates by other organizations. “Duman” is pleased that he becomes to be the model in providing attention to seniors.
Day of greybeards. Every year, 1 October at the International Day of Greybeards Entertainment center “Duman” tries to make the holiday for aged people.
